The first study (intraperitoneal study) scrutinized a preceding model of takotsubo syndrome and the impact of oxygen supplementation. The ‘infusion time study’ assessed varying durations of infusion (ranging from 1 to 60 min). The ‘dose study’ examined a range of isoprenaline dosages (from 0 to 1 mg/kg). The ‘replication study’ served as a reiteration of the infusion time study. The ‘sex study’ investigated the role of female and male sex in the intravenous model. The ‘strain study’ evaluated the effect of different rat strains and breeders on the newly developed takotsubo syndrome model. High-resolution echocardiography was utilized to assess cardiac function and wall motion abnormalities for a period up to 30 days. Parameters, such as mortality rate, incidence and extent of apical akinesia, and timeframe for recuperation of cardiac function, were investigated across the studies.
